Midweek Moment

Yesterday, I laid my grandma to rest. We have had family from all over the southeastern United States drive in. We filled up houses of the families in Tampa and a few of us even slept on air mattresses. We shared memories, we wiped each other’s tears, and hugged one another till our arms simply wore out. It was a hard time, but a glorious time as well.

I had the honor of officiating at my grandma’s service. Putting together her life story allowed me the opportunity to remember those memories I had forgotten, to relive those moments of happy times we spent together; and reflect on the woman I knew, grew to know, and always loved.

I want to thank each of you for your outpouring of support and love during this difficult time for my family. I want to thank you all for praying for me on Tuesday as I officiated her service. I was honored to be asked and humbled to a part of it. It was your prayers and the power of the Holy Spirit that enabled me to get through it.

Here are a few pictures of me and my grandma.
